FULLY REMOTE INPATIENT CODER OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE
Description
+ Review Medical Records: Analyze patient records to assign numeric codes for each diagnosis and procedure.
+ Code Assignment: Use ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding systems to assign accurate codes.
+ Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of clinical data for reimbursement purposes.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with the medical billing department to ensure all billed services are properly coded.
+ Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve any discrepancies in coding and create procedure codes as necessary.
+ Confidentiality: Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
+ Education: Train and educate healthcare providers on proper documentation and coding practices.
+ Regulation Compliance: Stay updated with changes in coding regulations and guidelines
Must have 3 years of the following experience:
+ Inpatient Coding; knowledge of DRG & PCS
+ Experience using ICD-10-CM diagnostic codes for billing and appropriate reimbursement
+ Experience using ICD-10-PCS as procedural coding system
+ Customer Service Representative
+ Epic experience required

Trauma experience
Rehab and LTAC experience
Inpatient audit experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
