Job Description Insight Global is looking to hire 2 remote Inpatient DRG Coding Specialists for a healthcare provider in the South Florida area. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inpatient DRG Coding Specialist to join our Health Information Management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines and regulations. This role is crucial in optimizing hospital reimbursement and supporting quality patient care. Responsibilities include: * Review and analyze inpatient medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes. * Ensure accurate DRG assignment and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. * Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures. * Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliance. * Stay updated with changes in coding standards, regulations, and best practices. * Participate in coding education and training sessions. * Assist in resolving coding-related issues and discrepancies. * Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information. * Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
