$65 / hour

Position: Inpatient Pharmacist

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay Rate (Local): $65/hour

Schedule Options:

M-F 10am-6pm and 4pm-12am float shift

Weekend Requirements: 3 weekends on 1 weekend off

Duration: 3 months (Likely Extension)

Requirements:

Must be licensed as a pharmacist in good standing in the State of Illinois, required Graduation from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education or equivalent, required 1 year of recent full time experience working in a hospital setting as a pharmacist required 1 year of experience with IV preparation

Additional Details:

Must have inpatient hospital experience  Orientation 830am-1230pm on 1/20/24 paid at Chicago Minimum wage Typical Duties Performs day-to-day activities of the assigned work area and be responsible for its efficient operation including main inpatient medication order verifications, automated device filling checklists, sterile compounding, manufacturing, duties in Chemo Pharmacy and Operating Room (OR) Pharmacy, if applicable Rotates among scheduled assignments Identifies and resolves problems with personnel, services, or equipment relating computerized systems Utilizes Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) for med order verifications checking for inappropriateness and patient safety Advises physicians and nurses of proper drug selection and their side effects and remain current with the appropriate State Law & Regulations Collaborates with staff, if requested by administrative staff, in certain situations on other shifts and in other work areas Participates in preparation and presentation of educational programs for department and hospital personnel, e.g., CE, Annual Training, Quality Assurance, Hospital and Departmental Programs Performs computer operations necessary to drug distribution and management functions; confirms computerized within the department; addresses problems encountered in their daily operation Conducts or assists in conducting quality assurance and other management projects, if applicable Reads, interprets, evaluates, compounds or dispenses medication orders for patients including sterile products and controlled substances, in accordance with laws and regulations Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: Competitive pay & weekly paychecks Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) savings plan Awards and recognition programs  *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.  About Amergis Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, has served our clients and communities by connecting people to the work that matters since 1988.
