CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Job Summary / Purpose
Collaborate in all phases of pharmaceutical services that includes drug distribution and clinical services, respecting all persons for their own personal worth and dignity while maintaining cost effectiveness
Essential Key Job ResponsibilitiesMonitor Drug therapy and communicates findings and recommendations to appropriate professionalsAccurately assess medication orders for appropriateness (dose, frequency, indication, drug-drug interactions, etc)Prepare/check intravenous admixturesActively participate in clinical services including pharmacokinetic monitoring, monitoring/calculating TPN, anticoagulant management, monitoring microbiology cultures, registering/monitoring clozapine patients; Renal dosing protocol; IV to PO protocolProvide timely drug informationSupport Formulary management decisions; Prepare one Formulary monograph for System P&T CommitteeFollow current policies and procedures; Participate in writing/revising/reviewing two or more departmental policiesParticipate in review and reporting of Medication Events and Adverse Drug Reactions as assignedMaintains professionalism, competencies and leadership standards by providing in-service, writing newsletter article; completing mandatory education and job specific competencies; participates in committees as assigned.Support Residency by assisting in recruitment efforts, including the interview process; completes evaluations as requiredOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications

Graduate of a College of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree in Pharmacy
Required Licensure and Certifications
Licenses as a pharmacist in the state of North Dakota in good standing

Computer proficiency and training to provide pharmaceutical care to all ages of patients
