Position:  Pharmacy Technician 

Location: Chicago, IL

Pay Rate : $32/hour

Schedule:

Full time (M-F) Start time-based on assignment with weekend and holiday rotation. Storeroom assignment – 6:30am to 2:30pm Inpatient Pharmacy assignment – 7:00am to 3:00pm or 10:00am  to 6:00pm

Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends

Duration: 3 months (Likely Extension)

Requirements: 

1 recent year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient setting Must have IV compounding experience   Licensed as a Pharmacy technician in the state of Illinois Must hold active certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) program or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)  Must be able to lift and transport objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to receive medications from the loading dock, storeroom, or outside delivery.  Requires physical mobility and mental alertness.  Requires various types of physical exertion including, but not limited to, walking, climbing, pulling, pushing, prolonged standing, and lifting and moving heavy objects. Must have the ability to maintain accurate Pharmacy inventory and supplies. Must be able to analyze stock requisitions and store inventory and supplies in proper locations.

Additional Details:

Must be able to pass IV media fill tests in order to prepare intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapeutic agents.
