Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an Inpatient Rehab Tech!
As an Inpatient Rehab Tech at MercyOne, you will assist the licensed/certified rehabilitation services professional (PT, OT, PTA, COTA, SLP) in the preparation of patients for treatment, assist with certain therapy procedures with patients, and maintains therapy equipment in a clean and aesthetic manner. This position also transports patients to and from the rehabilitation department. This position supports the above Rehab Staff in the MercyOne acute care hospital setting.
Assists the rehabilitation professionals in patient care including the preparation of the treatment area, assisting in activities prior to, during and after treatment.
Assists with monitoring patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living per instruction by supervising rehabilitation professional.
Maintains the department space and equipment in a clean and orderly manner in accordance with department policy regarding infection control and preventative maintenance.
Transports patients to and from the rehabilitation services department utilizing correct body mechanics and transfer techniques as needed.
Maintains required department confidentiality and abides by HIPPA regulations.
Assists the PT and OT teams with management of patient flow by keeping the whiteboards organized and up to date.
Schedule:
Full Time; The schedule is 7:30am-4pm, M-F. This position does include a holiday and weekend rotation.
General Requirements:
Education:
1. High school graduate or equivalent or successful completion of formal Nurse Aide Course (training verified transcript or original program certificate of completion)
Experience:
1. Previous experience in a health care field is preferred.

1. Ability to communicate and work with patients of all ages
