Inpatient Wound Care Nurse

Wound, ostomy, and continence nursing is a multifaceted, evidence-based specialty practice incorporating a unique body of knowledge to provide excellence in prevention, health, maintenance, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitative nursing care to persons with select disorder of the gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), and integumentary systems.  This specialty encompasses the care of patients across the continuum of care from pediatric to geriatric populations.  While serving a pivotal role in direct patient care, they also serve as educators, researchers, and consultants to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications: RN licensed in SC with 2-3 year clinical experience required.  BSN preferred. Graduate of WOCN accredited program with certification in Wound Ostomy Care Nurse (WOCN), Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN), or Certified Wound Care Ostomy Nurse (CWON) preferred or alternative certification Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) and Certified Wound Care Associate (CWSA) preferred.
