Job Title:  Inplant Ink Technician III                           

Location: Athens, GA

Shift: 1st 8:00am-4:00pm

Pay: Based on Experience

 

OVERVIEW:  In this role your primary responsibility is to provide leadership, compliance, quality control and communication with all the customers’ plant employees. You will be responsible for providing inventory and estimation of ink needs including ordering and batch ticket work-off program management. You will act as our on-site press-side technical expert, troubleshooting complex press related process and be the communication link between Sun Chemical and customer. You will supervise 2-3 inplant technicians. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

 

Work closely with customer and CTS Rep. on development projects and process improvement projects.  Maintain detailed production and QC records.  Provide strong press side technical service, troubleshoot problems, and provide detailed and consistent technical reporting.    Maintain monthly and weekly reporting to CTS and Sales organization.  Maintain housekeeping and safe operations  Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. buckets; and move 500 lb. drums following operating procedures. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

High School Diploma or GED  Knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook; as well as dispensing and color match software  5+ years industry experience  This is a customer-facing position that requires a high degree of interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills.
