Inside Broker

Victor Access, the wholesale brokerage business of Victor Insurance Managers is looking for an Inside Broker to join our growing team. Our expertise lies in finding competitive and fast solutions to our agent’s challenging risks that fall outside of their standard market appetites. The right candidate should have an understanding of risk analysis, be self-motivated, organized and able to manage multiple tasks with efficiency. The position is an in-office role based in New York, NY with flexible working options up to 40% at manager’s discretion.

Inside Broker

We will count on you to:

Manage the information and timeline on new and renewal business information in support of senior brokers.

Communicate quickly and often with both retail clients and carrier partners paying particular attention to outstanding information, deadlines and open items.

Review submissions and identify information needs with input from senior brokers.

Provide input on marketing strategies for individual risks.

Organize and maintain market feedback and responses.

Review quotes and binders for accuracy and request and follow up for revisions.

Effectively manage post-binding information needs to close out open items.

Maintain records current within internal systems and oversee account billing and other administrative requirements.

Build relationships with agents and carrier partners.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

3+ years of commercial insurance experience in wholesale or retail brokerage or underwriting

P&C licensed in applicable state(s) or ability to quickly obtain

Analytical aptitude; critical thinking

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation.

A desire to learn and grow

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $69,300 to $147,600.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
