Job Summary
This position quotes and sells various lines of Property & Casualty insurance. The position quotes, binds, collects premiums and processes new business insurance applications.



Job Duties

Quote and sell P&C insurance products to members. Collect premiums, bind coverage, enter policy data into insurance systems and respond to all underwriting inquiries.Develop a complete, thorough, working knowledge of all insurance policy provisions, rating factors, rules, and insurance systems.Contact and follow up on all leads.Maintain pre-established rating and information accuracy scores.Work is routine and focuses primarily on developing sales abilities and selling insurance policies. During the sales process, many obstacles and conflicts can arise, requiring Direct Sales Agents to multi-task and think quickly in order to provide solutions to various issues.


Qualifications

Bachelors Equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred1-3 years Insurance sales PreferredMust have moderate proficiency in using Microsoft Office software, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.Advanced communication skills required, both written and oralLife Insurance License, valid in selling state - Issued by State Required

Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines. Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.Under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks only as instructed, subject to regular check of performance.Individual ContributorFailure to accomplish results can normally be overcome without significant effect on the organization.Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor and others in group or department to give and receive information.
