We are seeking an Inside Sales 1 Distribution Representative for our steel advanced processing group. Join our team!

Purpose of the Position:

Develop quotes, initiate orders, and present inventory availability and lead time information to customers.  Provide service solutions to customers by utilizing all divisions of Farwest Steel.
To qualify applicants must have past sales experience with metals, building and or construction materials or like commodity.  

Major Duties:

Responsible for all data entry of customer quotes and orders, verifying all information provided is to the customers standard.Educate customer on depth of services and breadth inventory in all divisions of Farwest Steel Corporation.Offering quality metal solutions to ensure customer success.Timely follow up on all quotes and orders for feedback on pricing, quality and delivery information.Convert quotes to orders after checking inventory levels and confirmation that processes or services will meet or exceed customer requirements. 

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma with a college degree in related field preferredHas proficient understanding of blueprintsKnowledge of Farwest Steel processing capabilities and tolerancesCommunicate effectively and sell steel products and servicesProfessional telephone skills and techniquesGreat listening and recording skillsComputer skills are a mustAbility to work in a team environment within our company Courteous professional conduct required with customers and co-workersAble to adapt to different social settings, perform routine office support, understand written and oral instruction, and make accurate mathematical calculations
