The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for growing and managing assigned accounts, working closely with field salespeople to drive business development and expand the company’s reach. This role serves as a crucial link between customers and Field Sales Representatives, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction by providing pricing, availability, and comprehensive customer service. This position is 100% onsite, NO remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries about product selection, order placement, pricing, quotations, and handle customer credits and complaints. Answer incoming sales calls and assist with counter sales as needed. Expedite orders and requests for literature or other information. Manage orders from start to finish, including expediting and customer communication. Describe products or services and help customers choose the best options for their needs. Quote prices, terms of sales, availability, delivery dates, and process orders. Maintain and update records for individual accounts with meticulous attention to detail. Enter sales orders and purchase customer requirements for specific price lines. Organize and maintain the product catalog library. Coordinate activities with internal departments, vendors, and common carriers. Provide technical and product assistance to customers to generate new and repeat sales. Analyze individual solutions and take appropriate actions to meet customer needs. Attend product and training sessions to develop superior product knowledge. Assist customers with product applications. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of Inside Sales and/or distribution experience. Experience working with Field Sales and executing sales campaigns. Experience implementing incentive plans to increase sales and improve profitability. Proven effective selling strategies and techniques. Track record of meeting sales goals and growing sales.Skills and Abilities:
Superior customer service skills. Effective selling and negotiating techniques. Excellent communication skills, including written, interpersonal, and listening. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
