EquipmentShare is seeking a Inside Sales Manager to be responsible for: Job Summary The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for generating new sales opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, managing inventory and purchase orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with strong communication skills and a background in B2B sales within industrial, manufacturing, or distribution industries. Key Responsibilities Sales Generation + Proactively generate new sales opportunities via phone, email, and other electronic communication methods. + Follow up on inbound leads and inquiries to convert them into sales. + Respond to customer order and quotation requests through various channels, including salespersons, telephone, email, and written correspondence. Customer Relationship Management + Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. + Act as the primary point of contact for customer needs, inquiries, and concerns. + Provide accurate pricing and delivery information. Inventory & Purchase Order Management + Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure proper inventory turnover. + Follow up on orders to guarantee timely shipment and customer satisfaction. + Resolve customer service issues and track open sales orders. + Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors. + Expedite open orders and coordinate delivery schedules with customers. Nature and Scope + Follow established procedures and seek guidance for non-routine issues. + Operate under close supervision with limited independent judgment. + Work involves detailed checks and review by senior colleagues or supervisors. Work Environment + Primarily indoor work in a comfortable office setting. + Most tasks involve sitting with occasional movement; light lifting may be required. + Overnight travel is typically less than 10% of the time. Qualifications Experience & Background + Junior Level: 1-3 years of experience in inside sales or customer service. + Senior Level: 4-10 years of experience in a related field. + Experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution sectors. Skills & Knowledge + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Effective negotiation and persuasion abilities. + Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. + Ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks efficiently. + Understanding of sales principles and customer service best practices. + Basic knowledge of industrial supplies, MRO, and tooling preferred. + Ability to learn and adapt to new product lines and solutions. Education + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Relevant work experience can substitute for formal education. Attitude & Work Ethic + Results-driven with a proactive and positive attitude. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. + Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Other Requirements + Flexibility to work standard business hours with occasional schedule adjustments based on customer needs. + Ability to track sales metrics and report progress towards goals. + Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs when necessary to assist customers with supply requirements.
