The Role: Inside Sales Representative
We are looking for a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for direct collaboration with Senior Account Executives on account strategy and execution, with a primary focus on lead generation, operational excellence, and pipeline growth. This role offers you the chance to leverage your sales expertise in the federal market, making a direct impact on our business outcomes while positioning cutting-edge Hitachi solutions to key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate Closely: Work hand-in-hand with Senior Account Executives to develop and execute account strategies that align with customer needs and Hitachi Vantara Federal’s solutions.
• Lead Generation Focus: Spend 70% of your time engaging in lead generation activities, identifying and qualifying prospects through inbound lead follow-up and targeted outbound outreach.
• Operational & Administrative Duties: Manage 20% of your responsibilities focused on operational tasks, and ensure 10% of your time is dedicated to maintaining accurate and up-to-date data within Salesforce (SFDC).
• Sales Outreach: Utilize email, phone calls, social media, and our sales engagement platform, Salesloft, to reach out to federal prospects and existing accounts. Automate and track all outreach activities for maximum efficiency.
• Solution Selling: Master Hitachi’s storage, cloud, IoT, and data management technologies, positioning them effectively to federal government clients and prospects based on their unique needs.
• Pipeline Growth: Drive the creation of a qualified sales pipeline through diligent lead follow-up and outbound prospecting efforts.
• Metrics-Driven: Achieve key sales metrics such as outbound calls, decision-maker contacts, meeting bookings, and opportunity generation.
• Presentation Skills: Deliver clear, concise company and product presentations to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and finance teams to meet company-wide goals.
• Travel: Participate in customer meetings and industry events, with travel up to 25% of the time. Qualifications:
• Experience: 2-3 years of technology-related sales or business development experience.
• Performance: Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations and consistently driving results.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to build relationships and drive outcomes through effective communication.
• Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Federal Sales Experience: Prior experience working with US Federal, State, or Local government customers is highly desirable.
• CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms.
• Sales Engagement Tools: Experience with Salesloft or similar platforms is preferred.
• Technology Acumen: Strong interest and ability to learn new, emerging technologies quickly.
