Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Represents the organization externally interacting with prospective and established customers to sell the organization’s steel products and services to build strong partnerships and achieve sales targets.  Coordinates complex and multifaceted profiles of customer accounts. Identifies and improves sales opportunities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy. Sells organization's products and services by calling large accounts and handling sales. Keeps customers informed about available services, supplies, prices, and new products.Processes customer orders from entry to invoicing. Coordinates order reviews to eliminate product, price and freight errors and ensure compliance.Collaborates with internal departments:manufacturing teams to review product specifications to ensure compliance with the customer requirements;shipping teams to obtain and advise on shipping releases;warehousing personnel to monitor aged allocated inventory and review with customers.Generates various reports to conduct basic analyses of customer inquiries and complaints to resolve all in a timely manner. Consults with senior personnel on complex cases.Coordinates quoting and pricing activities, and reviews incoterms to ensure operating efficiencies.Assists with monitoring competitive activity and regional pricing levels within the assigned territory. Collaborates with outside sales and marketing team to collect data on market trends and regional pricing levels. Occasional travel to customer locations for follow-up, presentations, or demonstrations.Performs other duties as they might be assigned.Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree – preferably in business, marketing or logistics2-3 year customer service / inside sales experience, preferably in steel industry. Prior experience with tubing or industrial sales preferred

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

Basic knowledge of Atlas’ capabilities and internal requirements to maintain operating efficiencies preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, business systems and mobile platformsStrong mathematical aptitudeStrong customer service and sales skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Goal oriented and team player able to prioritize and completes multiple tasks in a timely manner Professional conflict resolution and problems solving skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks amid dynamic timelinesDecisiveness and problem solving skillsAbility to develop and maintain internal relations with hiring managers, technical and manufacturing personnel
