**The Opportunity**
Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses. It brings together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing, providing important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. The position of Technical Consultant is within our Cardiometabolic business. The Technical Consultant has primary responsibility for the LDX and Afinion products in the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx) Cardiometabolic Business Unit.
The position of Inside Sales Executive is within our Cardiometabolic business unit. This is a field-based remote role with 20% travel within the territory of Illinois.
The Inside Sales Executive (ISE) is responsible for achieving and exceeding defined sales goals and business objectives within an assigned geographic region, team, or campaign. The ISE communicates and collaborates daily with all team members and may also work with third parties, such as the company’s distribution partners or GPO representatives.
**What You’ll Work On**
+ Ensure satisfaction and address issues.
+ Utilize sales skills and training to uncover and develop customer needs, positioning targeted solutions.
+ Navigate a complex sales environment with decision-makers, including hospital administrators, department heads, technical staff, lab managers, point of care coordinators, pathologists, supply chain managers, and other healthcare professionals.
+ Be adept at navigating both hospital environments and physician offices, urgent care centers, and large health systems.
+ Possess knowledge and skills to sell effectively across the entire healthcare market, navigating decision-making, identifying and presenting needs-based solutions, and generating accurate pricing proposals.
+ Close business in a direct sales environment and through third-party distributors.
+ Have extensive product knowledge of Cardiometabolic point of care solutions.
+ Navigate customer conversations to identify the right solution.
+ Perform virtual/online product demonstrations, training, and other educational events.
+ Conduct account research using tools like Salesforce.com, Power BI, Definitive, and Hospital Compare.
+ Engage in market outreach (customer/distributor surveys, notifications, campaigns, promotions, invitations, events, etc.).
+ Manage inbound customer inquiries.
+ Schedule on-site meetings and product demonstrations for field sales team members as necessary.
+ Provide ad hoc assistance to team members, including proposal/quote generation, delivery of promotional materials, and customer/distributor follow-up.
+ Follow through and follow up with customer requests to ensure exceptional service with urgency and responsiveness.
+ Accurately maintain customer and activity database using Salesforce.com.
**Education and Experience You’ll Bring**
**Required:**
+ 4-year college degree
**Preferred:**
+ 2 years of sales experience.
+ Knowledge of key healthcare drivers and priorities, and their impact on clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.
+ Experience in inside or outside sales, including routine cold calling.
+ Strong analytical skills: Ability to develop and execute business plans, analyze successes and failures, and provide recommendations.
+ Ability to provide timely and accurate information.
+ Interpersonal savvy and customer focus: Builds rapport and effective relationships, acts with customers in mind, and gains their trust and confidence.
+ Asks impactful questions and listens actively.

The base pay for this position is $26.35 – $52.65 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
