Position Summary:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking an Inside Sales Account Manager to join our Sales team. As an Inside Sales Account Manager for the Academic segment, you will be responsible for driving sales of scientific products and services to customers in the Scotland. Your Responsibilities:

Drive segment-specific product sales and support supplier partnershipsPromote essential products and additional services to customers in academic research, government laboratories and healthcareBuild and maintain an effective network of connections within the Thermo Fisher Scientific organizationCommunicate the totally unique benefits of Thermo Fisher to specific segments of our audience.Achieve or exceed sales and margin targets for your territoryDevelop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue and margin goalsFoster and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure continued market penetration and profitabilityOptimize selling time and enhance communication and influencing skills by effectively employing internal resources.Provide customers with information on supply and price trends, and assist in inventory controlManage pricing within your territory to optimize profitabilityWork closely with other sales team members to implement account strategies in key accounts.Understand and meet customer needs to enhance business opportunitiesProvide timely feedback on customers, competitor activity, and promotionsMeet deadlines for personal administration tasks, such as updating the sales force automation system and submitting expense reports.Establish relationships with key suppliers and negotiate improved terms to increase profitabilityReview, maintain, and manage compliance to key performance indicatorsStay informed about competitor activity and maintain a high level of business knowledge relevant to the region

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in the sciences or equivalent work experienceStrong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skillsProficiency in MS Office, web, and sales force softwareExcellent organisational and time management skillsFull driver’s license and willingness to travel (up to 80% of the time)Proficient in written and spoken EnglishConfident personality with effective engagement skills
