At KITCO Fiber Optics, we are a leading provider of fiber optic termination, inspection, and testing products, and training and consulting services, to the military and harsh environment communications industry since 1995. We specialize in the design and fabrication of fiber optic tools, tool kits, and custom cable assemblies. We also provide custom training solutions and offer on-site installation, trouble-shooting and repair services.

Duties:

Respond to RFQs or market leads received via phone, emails, EXOSTAR, Government bidding sites, and online requestsFollow up on quotes and market leads to increase revenueProcess and execute customer purchase orders, retail transactions, and contractsRead and analyze contracts and purchase orders as an assessment to determine if company can execute and acceptManage customers’ open ordersMaintain files for quotations, purchase orders, and sales order acknowledgementsRespond to customer planning data in adherence to supplier inventory management agreementsApply basic finance and accounting concepts as it applies to sales (credit terms, credit cards, source documents, sales tax)Understand research and apply knowledge for fiber optic cables, connectors, and tool kitsApply knowledge of assembly, fabrication, logistics, and related manufacturing concepts as it relates to customer orders and satisfactionKeep up with industry trends and development with continuous fiber optic trainingReceive and maintain NAVSEA Terminate and Test CertificationPrepare, evaluate, and execute company’s complex cost analysis for clients and apply discounts accordinglyProcess returns material requests, coordinated with Quality and warehouse personnelSupport and backup others in the customer service team, Training, and Field Service administrative support as neededReview and provide effective and efficient solutions for customer complaintsResponsible for overall customer satisfaction in terms of product quality for assigned customersOversee coordination of quality problem resolution with manufacturing for assigned customersSupport outside sales in the development of new businessMaintain existing business and present new productsResponsible for upselling customers and prospective customers to generate new sales and grow revenue by selling a defined set of company productsAnswer phone calls, greet customers and create a rapportAssist in scheduling of deliveries and customer pick upsAbility to cross reference and value engineer materials within a projectPrepare customer information to set them up as a new customer

Skills:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience with B2G and B2B salesExperience in ERP Systems: Costpoint preferredUsage of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, TeamsType 45+ WPMKnowledge of navigating Government sites: EXOSTAR, SAM.gov, BidLink, etc.Knowledge of basic government contract with terms and conditions
