Inside Sales Specialist
**Job Description:** **Position Summary:** The Inside Sales Specialist generates sales of products and services to achieve volume and growth objectives independently and in cooperation with the outside sales team. Directly handles sales opportunities with existing customers and prospects and may be responsible for direct management of large or strategic customer accounts. Analyses specifications and prepares quotes package for strategic business opportunities. Closely works cross functionally with engineering, outside sales, customer service, legal services, accounts receivable, and other sales support resources, as need, to effectively manage customer relationships, pursue selling opportunities, and close business opportunities. + Develops and supports strategic relationships with internal and external customers. + Collaborates with outside sales on assigned accounts to achieve team revenue goals. + Works closely with production and shipping teams to proactively communicate any foreseen delays. + Manages proposal preparation and submittal by required due date. + Reviews technical and commercial terms of customer request for quotes (RFQ). + Reviews customer demand changes and forecasts to ensure alignment with production capabilities. + Maintains complete understanding of SIP products and services and their features and benefits as they relate to specific customer needs. + Compute costs for materials, purchased equipment, subcontracted work, labor, etc. + Develops and manages contract pricing for strategic customers to achieve margin alignment. + Expedites product as necessary to meet customer’s expectations. + Proactively works to sell slow moving/obsolete (SLOB) inventory. **Required Skill, Education and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. + Professional experience (years and/or industry type) – minimum of 4 years of experience in related role, in manufacturing industry highly preferred. + People skills – teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving. + Good interpersonal and communication skills with internal/external stakeholders. + Possess energy, initiative, enthusiasm, cooperation while exercising good judgement and discretion. + Ability to manage difficult and/or emotional situations while promptly addressing customer needs. + Technical skills + Ability to interpret technical information pertaining to engineered products and/or processes specific to customer application requirements. + Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while working independently to meet deadlines. + Accuracy and attention to detail. + Proficiency in MS Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. + Analytical ability required. + Strong customer focus, communication, decision-making and influencing skills. + Strong project management and organizational skills.
