Inside Sales Support (West Coast Fire & Integration)
**Job Description** As an Estimator for West Coast Fire & Integration, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies to competitively bid, negotiate, and secure new construction projects within the target market segments. This role involves providing bids, facilitating projects, and ensuring cost containment for the Sales Department to align projects with West Coast Fire & Integration’s performance capabilities. **Job Duties & Responsibilities:** + Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems Design + Review and understand the Scope of Work and Project Specifications completely. + Review and understand each Project Wage rates. + Review and understand the Insurance, Bonding and Billing requirements. + Interact with the General Contractor, MEP Contractors and all other trades. + Draft Request for Information (RFI) for delivery to customer by Business Development Managers. + Develop a detailed cost estimate and take off. + Interact with the Business Development Managers to identify scope changes or other commitments. + Identify major issues and concerns on a project in regard to risk/reward situations. + Prepare a comprehensive proposal for delivery to the customer by Business Development Managers. + Review Change Orders as needed for delivery to the customer by the Business Development Managers. + Actively pursue and create pathways for margin growth. + Interact with Operations to effectively increase margins based on the ability to execute a specific project. + Interact with Purchasing to ensure the best price offered for large or specialty buyouts. + Develop Value Engineering solutions to improve the budget. + Alternate manufacturers to increase close rate with competitive pricing. + Efficiently and accurately take off and build pricing tools. + Organize Archive and Store bid projects. + Maintain and Update the Estimates folders. + Develop and maintain positive and influential interaction with our employees, vendors, contractors, Architect and Engineer team and the facility end users. + Deliver a quality product on time and within budget. + Teach and model the West Coast Fire & Integration foundation of ethics and integrity. **Skills & Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications** + Minimum of a high school diploma. + 2+ years of experience in Inside Sales or a related field. + Strong knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems. + Proficiency in basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. + Ability to troubleshoot and debug basic computer problems. + Empathy and problem-solving skills to address issues and achieve successful outcomes for customers and employees. **Preferred Qualifications** + 4+ years of experience in Inside Sales or a related field. + Experience in the Construction industry. + Knowledge of Sales Quota and Sales Cycle. + Familiarity with Office Supplies management. + Familiarity with NFPA and other fire and life safety codes, particularly beneficial for Special Systems roles. + Knowledge of Climatec’s leadership culture and values. + Experience in motivating and developing employees to ensure their success. + Strong business and financial awareness, with the ability to manage a portfolio of projects to maximize cash flow, profits, and customer and employee satisfaction. **Essential Job Functions:** + Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc. + Ability to work independently and safely + Be able to spend significant time standing and walking in a warehouse. + Be able to carry move and carry loads that could weigh up to 80lbs. + Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day. + Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy. + Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl. **Employee Benefits:** + Medical + Dental + Vision + Flexible Spending Accounts + 401K w/ company match + Life/AD&D/LTD + Paid Vacation/Sick/Holidays + Employee Assistance Program + Pet Insurance **Application Process:** Please submit your resume along with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and how you meet the qualifications outlined above.
