Inspection, Laser and Assembly Technician
Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an Inspection, Laser and Assembly Technician to join their team. As an Inspection, Laser and Assembly Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the Assembly, Laser Engraving and Quality Control teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, visual and mechanical inspection and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to stand and walk around consistently through a full work shift doing repetitive assembly tasks. **Job Title:** Inspection, Laser and Assembly Technician **Location:** Costa Mesa, CA **Pay Range: $27-$30/hr** **What's the Job?** + Prepare child parts for the next day’s assembly requirements. + Prior to start of assembly confirm correct child parts are prepared for the day’s assembly plan. + Assemble required amount of UCA’s according to schedule. + After assembly requirements for the day are met, lube all bushings and boots and load bins with child parts for the next day’s assembly plan. + Update Active OPK Coating Quality Tracking sheet and confirm its accuracy. + Clean your workstations, clean all tools, and return to toolbox. + Empty all trashcans on the assembly floor. Breakdown all cardboard boxes and take to the recycling bin. + Empty all hazmat containers and place contents in the proper receptacles located in the hazmat area. + Confirm that everything needed to begin the following workday is in your possession before you leave, i.e., stickers, lot # information, and anything else needed from the shipping group prior to 7am. + Clean the press (daily) report any worn or damaged parts to your supervisor. + Laser label required number of products, according to schedule. + Install laser fixture into laser machine. + Load laser label file that matches schedule for day. + Confirm parts are seated properly in the fixture. + Align laser image to part. + When laser jobs are complete, rebuild storage pallet, ensure OPK stickers are in proper location, mark the laser sticker as complete and place pallet in defined location. + Update the Active OPK Coating Quality Tracking sheet and confirm its accuracy. + Clean your workstations and change laser filter is required. + Empty all trashcans on the assembly floor. Breakdown all cardboard boxes and take to the recycling bin. + Receive, disposition, and quarantine parts using internal database system. + Using internal database system report any damaged, unfinished, or mis machined parts immediately. + Update the Active OPK Coating Quality Tracking sheet and confirm its accuracy. + Prepare all parts for weekly MRB review. **What's Needed?** + High School Diploma, GED or equivalent + At least 1 year of experience in assembly technician responsibilities. + Proficient computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook) + Visual and Mechanical inspection and troubleshooting skills. + Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. **What's in it for me?** + Competitive hourly rate based on experience + Opportunities for growth and career advancement + Weekly pay If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
