The position is an important function to ensure high customer satisfaction. In this role you will inspect, and test returned products to determine the type of failure if any. Set-up, calibrate and maintain test equipment. Write reports on the findings from the product testing and keep records of testing results. Coordinate activities with the Quality Engineer. Keep testing area and storage area for returned products in proper conditions.
Job Responsibilities
Critical Task/Responsibilities
Receive and Analyze pieces of Quality Notifications sent by Customers from several locations in the US and Canada. Ensure customers get a proper evaluation of the products returned. Create Failure analysis report from the parts analyzed. Make evaluation reports for cases when the failure mode can be identified at LIC (3D reports) Inspect the parts following Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) established in coordination with factories Ensure good Communication: Communicate the arrival of parts and the follow up of the analysis of the complaint (FAR Report) Occasionally travel to customers to support technically on our products or do re-works as needed. Develop and execute periodic maintenance plan of the equipment to reduce downtime. Ensure that the inspection equipment is calibrated regularly. Perform a Gage R&R study at least once per year to ensure there is no measurement discrepancy Follow up on RMA’s (Return Material Authorization) with Warranty Coordinators. Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
0-5 years of mechanical, electrical or HVAC trade skills (HVAC preferable) Be organized in doing mechanical works and evaluation reports Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products Basic technical writing skills Experience with 8D or similar problem-solving methods Must be willing and able to lift 80 lbs.
