The position of Inspection Engineer is required asap! What do we do … JBT Food & Dairy Systems BV is part of JBT and is involved in the development and sale of machines for extending the shelf life of packaged foods in various product groups. Our ICS team is responsible for both new construction projects, retrofits of existing installations, service support and the supply of spare parts for In Container Sterilizers. The currently team consists of approximately 30 employees. We also have colleagues divided over several offices worldwide and we have ambitions to grow further as a profitable division of JBT. The Opportunity ... A day in the life of our Inspection Engineer … As an Inspection Engineer, your role will be pivotal in the field, serving as a crucial link in the customer care team responsible for the meticulous inspections of our In Container Sterilization Systems (ICS). As an integral part of the customer care team, you will be conducting detailed inspections. Where you perform thorough evaluations of ICS units to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. As well as identify if the current equipment aligns with the customer’s business objectives. You perform a diagnostic assessment and identify potential issues and areas for improvement. Ensuring all systems comply with industry regulations and internal quality standards. Based on your inspection report, you will identify the best customer solutions in which you: Could indicate the need for a retrofit adjustment in alignment with the customer’s business objectives to ensure the equipment is up-to-date, more sustainable, improves safety, extends the equipment's lifespan, enhances performance, or incorporates the latest technology Could indicate the need for routine or preventive maintenance activities to the customer to prolong the lifespan and efficiency of the equipment. Could indicate the need for hands-on training and technical guidance to on-site personnel and customers. Which you could also give yourself as a follow-up. You will provide customers with detailed insights and in-depth reports based on your inspection findings, discussing necessary maintenance or replacements as well as other improvement opportunities to ensure optimal performance. you will play a key role in communicating the requirements to the customer, ensuring our machines remain operational and supporting their ongoing business success. You will coordinate the follow-up actions with the larger teams, depending on the outcome of your inspection and the interests of the customer. If you are not doing inspections you will be supporting with the installation and commissioning of the retrofits or new ICS units, ensuring they are installed correctly and function optimally. What we would like to see on your resume … An engineering background both in educational and in experience A basic level of understanding of mechanical, electrical, switching, control, and precision engineering Experience with or knowledge of process installations an maintenance (if you have knowledge of control systems that would be a plus; we use Allen Bradley and Siemens S7 and TIA Portal in ICS) Experience in doing inspections and writing strong inspection reports It is an advantage to have experience in the Machinery industry, especially Food would be great but, if you come externally, we can train you if you have the right experience in assembly work with electrical and mechanical engineering Availability to travel 70% of the time to customer sites One thing that is essential is a good command of the English language as this is the language most spoken with clients.
