Arborist Opportunity!

Description:

Opportunity to work for a global leader for sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy for natural and built assets. The Arborist will be working on Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) project with Parks Department assessing trees for beetles that are threatening to NYC trees.

Responsibilities:

- Construction oversight on project sites

- Inspection of trees

- Daily reporting

- Contractor oversight for emerald ash borer treatment, block pruning, emergency storm work, report writing, use of city FORMS System and stump inspections.

- Work with contractors

- Daily reporting

- Work will go through October full time, then slow down in winter, pick up again full time around March (this is typical for Arborists)

Must Have:

Personal VehicleISA Certification1+ year of forestry related projects

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00
