Quality Inspector
What Will You Do?
To perform the EOL Quality Inspector job successfully an individual must inspect finished assembled product in a timely manner by performing each essential function of this job satisfactorily at a sustained level of productivity. The EOL Quality Inspector communicates quality needs/requirements to the Assembly supervisor along with placing products on conveyor belt in adherence with handling procedures.
· Perform final processing and inspection of assembled upholstery (according to specs and BOM’s)
· Perform final inspection of assembled upholstery to ensure quality standards are met in regards to flaws, tailoring/workmanship defects, shade(s), mechanism operation and overall appearance/texture.
· Assist in repair of minor quality defects by steaming, heating, regulating or making minor adjustments.
· Position and attach hangtags, law labels, and instruction tags
· Scanning finished product timely, that have met specifications
· Maintain daily records manually of types of defects identified
· Place and/ or push onto conveyor belt with or without mechanical assistance
· Inform appropriate management of quality problems.
· Periodically assist in special assigned projects as needed
· Participate in team meetings and activities
· Assist with training of other employees
· Attend scheduled training sessions
· Maintain reliable attendance
· Work as a member of a team
· Follow safe work practices
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
What Do You Need?
Education: High school diploma preferred
Required Experience: 6 months in manufacturing preferred
Necessary Skills and Abilities: Read, write, and comprehend basic communications; basic counting and math skills; Measure using English and Metric scales; Communicate professionally with others; Basic AS-400 skills; Basic PC skills; Displays initiative; Knowledge of products, product flow and familiarity with manufacturing work areas and locations; Problem solve in a fast paced environment; Read and interpret engineering drawings; Reliable; Punctual; Complete duties in accordance with company policy.
