Inspector I-III The Ocean County Utilities Authority, a public wastewater treatment facility consisting of three treatment plants and 40 pumping stations, is currently seeking an Inspector I-III. The position is located in Bayville, New Jersey. The Inspector I, II, III provides inspection service for Authority construction projects to assure contractor compliance with the contract documents. The position reports to the Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer. A High school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree in engineering and NICET certifications are preferred. Construction experience is required, and candidates must be capable of performing manual labor including, but not limited to scaling ladders and scaffolding, and confined space entry and exit. Prior experience in any building trade, construction field and familiarity with OSHA requirements is desired. Must exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to follow written and verbal directions and work independently in the field with contractors; have a strong computer background and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
