Inspector - UID

The role is responsible for the fabrication of and validity of government UID labels.

Manage UID (Unique Identification) projects that includes creating Item Unique Identification, fabricating UID plates and maintaining records that provide visibility and accountability of GFM (Government Furnished Material).Coordinate the pre-production of UID requirements that will be required for each work orderManage material consumption of required material to produce UID labels in house and coordinate with the purchasing partners for UID materialManage and update inquiry spreadsheet to be used for daily/weekly follow up with purchasing partners as well as file of product specifications that need to be submitted to Government agenciesInspects incoming materials, manufactured /or repaired parts and verifies conformance to manufacturer’s specifications and maintains the traceability of the parts /or materialsEnsures positive traceability by completing required documentation IAW internal procedures work instructionsLogs incoming parts and distributes to the appropriate departments as prescribed on TAS purchase ordersCompletes in-process inspections as requiredConducts internal audits and associated documentationAll other duties as assigned

Methods, practices, inspection techniques and tools used in the military inspection and UID roleMicrosoft office basics

§ Skill to:

Utilize inspection equipment, tools, visual aids, and company procedures to inspect incoming manufactured repaired parts and traceability documents for compliance to regulations and customer requirements

§ Learn the ERP MRP System, including the Inventory, Purchasing and Service repair order screens

§ Learn the Repair Station Quality Management System, FAA 8130-3 Form, FAA Advisory Circulars, ATA 106 and the current FARs

§ Dependability: personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accurately

§ Motivation: must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy

§ Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills

Organization: very detail oriented and always comes prepared Initiative: plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions, prepares for problems or opportunities in advance, undertakes additional responsibilities skills including MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook; familiarity
