The program coordinator will provide leisure and recreational activities as well as creative arts & music, facilitating participation of Members to achieve their maximum potential. Plans, implements and monitors service delivery and ensures high quality services and compliance with regulation and standard practices. Develops creative social group activities that promote social skills training, sensory/motor development, and reduction/elimination of maladaptive behavior. Evaluates skills necessary for performing those activities, and breaks activities down into components that each Member can perform. Utilizes cognitive, behavioral, and physical rehabilitation techniques as well as task analysis in doing group facilitation. Determines the need for environmental modifications, adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies including assistive technology and assists in obtaining and implementing these adaptations with emphasis on Members being able to maximize their performance. Responsible for the weekly monitoring and documentation of Members’ activities in the Clubhouse. Schedules and implements new cultural, athletic, educational and therapeutic performances, workshops and activities that meet the needs and interests of all Members. Facilitates community relations, partnerships, and program support for the implementation of activities for Members. Provides brain injury skills training, assistance and/or supervision to Members in the areas of daily living, personal care, social integration, and community assimilation utilizing compensatory strategies developed by the Transdisciplinary Rehab Team. Assures that therapeutic goals and objectives will be designed to promote community reintegration, teaching concepts such as task completion, problem solving, safety, and money management, in accordance with the Member’s RSP. Coordinates Life Skill Trainers (LST’s) to provide support to Members and group facilitation assistance as needed. Ensures compliance with applicable standards and service definitions: Woods, Beechwood NeuroRehab, DOL, DHS, and CARF standards. Attends and participates in Transdisciplinary Team Meetings for assigned Members, including ITCs, RSPs, PRCs. Attends and participates in required training sessions, staff meetings, and special assignments as required. Assists in program evaluation and program development activities to make the program best meet the needs of the Members. InSPIRE Program Coordinator II Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation/Art/Music Therapy or related Human Services field. Preferred Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Experience in creative arts, music, adaptive sports, and/or recreation therapy with adults with acquired brain injury preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point) Articulate, creative, outgoing individual with strong organization and communication skills (written and oral), capable of working with varied personalities. PA driver’s license: must pass Smith Training and Woods Goshen. Demonstrate the ability to physically lift/transfer a minimum of 50 pounds Must complete Chapters 1-12 of ACBIS training within 1st year of employment. InSPIRE Program Coordinator III Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation/Art/Music Therapy or related Human Services field. Preferred Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Experience in creative arts, music, adaptive sports, and/or recreation therapy with adults with acquired brain injury preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point) Articulate, creative, outgoing individual with strong organization and communication skills (written and oral), capable of working with varied personalities.
