TheInstallation Manageroversees the activities of internal and external resources related to the installation of Duravant Material Handling Solutions Integration Services. The Installation Manager organizes and manage all subcontract installation requirements and ensures proper documentation and administrative requirements are up to date and met. Additionally, he/she determines and ensures standards of work are accomplished. POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned. Business System + Develop and manage the standard operating procedures including installation standards, safety standards, quality standards and reporting methods related to the installation of systems. + Direct the creation of installation manuals when applicable. + Develop and manage team of installation technicians + Develop quality driven feedback procedure to manufacturing, system engineering, and other resources as required to achieve best of class implementation of systems. Management + Develop and manage team schedules and costs to perform system installation on time and budget. + Prepare and/or reviews installation quotes for projects and track as incurred costs to estimated costs; to improve quality of quotes, improve quality issues which may negatively impact costs during installation, ensure customer driven costs are being re-couped by project management. + Develops and manages the process and procedures for installation of equipment, commissioning of mechanical equipment and punch-list completion. + Responsible for assisting Project Manager & Site Managers with issues specifically related to the installation and subcontractors. + Ensure all local, state and national installation regulations are followed by sub-contractors or internal installation/technicians, including permitting, licensing, and bonds. + Provides material and manuals required for any training of subcontractors in the installation of Duravant and other equipment. + Responsible for mitigation of subcontractor change orders and assists Project Manager with the preparation of changes in scope documentation related to site conditions to ensure customer acceptance. + Attend weekly project review meetings, track financials, and contact and update the sub-contractors on a weekly basis. + Make site visits as necessary, to perform commissioning with sub-contractor, sub-contractor assessment, enforce safety and quality standards. + Responsible for coordinating and monitoring completion of equipment site acceptance and reporting readiness of segments for commissioning via signed installation documents. + Directs the ordering of all consumables not provided by sub-contractors including, air piping supplies, equipment rentals and other resources required for project execution. + Attend post project meetings to recommend design or concept changes if problems arose during the installation process. Reporting + Responsible for coordinating and monitoring completion of equipment site acceptance and reporting readiness of segments for commissioning via signed installation documents. + Prepares Subcontractor evaluation forms with input from site managers and others. Compliance + Maintaining an adequate system of internal controls and segregation of duties. + Preparing and maintaining a documented system for installation procedures and safety requirements. + Informing and training of installation personnel of their responsibilities, emphasizing necessity for following policies and procedures. + Preparing and maintaining needed forms, such as installation check list, site punch list performance, quality assessment. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: + Bachelor’s Degree preferred + 15+ years working in installation, service, or engineering of MHE systems. + Ability to travel domestically 25 to 50% PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, the colleague may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The incumbent must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The position is an office-based position with frequent visits to customer installation sites. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
