Installation Technician
Description + Must be knowledgeable of AC/ DC + Knowledge of cable and battery installation, wireline, wireless, and central office + Must be ok with some travel during the weekdays (everything is paid for) + Must be proficient with balance of plant support system such as: + Grounding, DC power, Batteries, Raceway, superstructure systems, etc Roles and Responsibilities: + Perform installation and removal of fiber/cables + Perform fiber/cable pre-termination and termination. + Perform fiber/cable raceway + Operate tools designed for cabling and lugging such as hydraulic crimping tools, cable cutters, heat gun and so on. Skills & Qualifications 1.Lead Low voltage cabling Lacing and terminating cable. DC power plant builds 2. DC Power experience - Battery Maintenance including replacement of cells, racks and auxiliary framing, interconnects, conductance, torqueing, strapping, anchoring, labeling, leveling and grounding of systems. 3. Installation Experience - (C.O., Headend or Wireless) - perform diversified tasks including but not limited to anchoring, leveling, drilling, securing racks and cables, sewing of power cable, fasten copper connecters, DC Bussing, cell installation, copper power termination. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
