**Job Title: Installation Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Installation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and fabrication of vocational trucks, utilizing their expertise in hydraulics, 12V electrical systems, and welding. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow detailed blueprints and schematics accurately.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble vocational trucks through hydraulic, 12V electric, and fabrication processes.
+ Follow detailed blueprints, diagrams, and instructions for installation.
+ Attend pre-install meetings to understand project requirements.
+ Accurately read and use measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
+ Perform hose and fitting assembly, routing, plumbing, pressure setting, and testing.
+ Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
+ Assemble, route, and terminate wire harnesses, followed by system setup and testing.
+ Perform minor welding tasks in various positions (vertical, flat, overhead) using appropriate settings for metal thickness.
+ Utilize welding blankets on truck cabs and windows, and clean weld spatter and slag.
+ Form metals for truck equipment installations.
+ Operate various power tools, including drills, impact wrenches, air ratchets, grinders, and plasma cutters.
+ Utilize a time tracking system to log work hours.
+ Make recommendations for procedural improvements or job function changes.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2-5 years of experience in field service of heavy equipment.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude with technical understanding of hydraulics and 12V electrical systems.
+ Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics.
+ Knowledge of wiring stop/start systems and ability to use a programmer.
+ Experience with plasma cutters and oxygen/acetylene torches.
+ Basic welding and fabrication skills.
+ Ability to adjust pressures and reliefs.
+ Basic math skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Technical college degree or completion of a structured on-the-job training program.
+ Mechanical design or practical experience in hydraulics, structural, or mechanical layout.

**Work Environment**
This position requires working in an environment exposed to extreme temperatures, various weather conditions, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises. The role involves frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds and may require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
