Job Description:
Once the details of a specific task are understood, the Installer is expected to have the working knowledge to select proper tools and material(s) to perform the task safely and at the highest level of quality possible; ensures that all Installers do the same. The tasks performed will support tarp system installation through cutting, burning, drilling, bolting and welding various types of metals according to the product specifications. All material cuts must be de-burred and cleaned to the highest possible standards and all welds must display material melt flow and be 100% de-slagged and cleaned to an industry standard high quality finish. As an individual and part of a team, strives to support continuous improvement across their personal tasks, the tasks of the department, as well as all facets of the business as a whole organization. The Installer is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times and must wear all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing the assigned tasks and stop work immediately in the event of a non-conformance. The Installer must report to the plant manager immediately any unsafe act or condition that requires corrective action. Must practices 5-S within their defined work area, returns all common tools to their proper place when not in use, and cleans the assigned work area once all work has been completed; the work area must be cleared of debris and in the event a tool does not have an assigned "home" place, the Lead Installer will consult their co-workers to establish one. Perform simple and routine maintenance to ensure that all equipment and tools remain safe and fully operational; in the event a piece of equipment is in an unsafe condition, the equipment should be immediately locked out and a supervisor notified. Performs other duties as directed by the Branch Manager or Site Leader.Company Benefits:
