Job Title: Installer - Weatherization (ECM)

Job Summary:  ECM Holding Group Inc has opportunities for Field Installers - Weatherization in multiple locations. Our field installers travel the county constantly by a variety of transportation, including air travel and driving company vehicles, to weatherize commercial buildings. The typical work schedule for this position is as follows :

Building Weatherization consists of:

 Weatherstripping service doors and garage doors  Spray Foam  Caulk window jams  Install window film  Spray roof coatings  Install specialty equipment Generator heat pumps IR heaters

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible and accountable for working with team members to complete jobs and other necessary work as directed by the Operations Manager or the company owners. Prepares thoroughly, familiar with the scope of work per job and for job assignment by ensuring necessary equipment, safety gear, tools, paperwork and supplies are brought. Make necessary preparations for installation process at jobsite by unloading equipment and placing items in location of installation. May be required to wear a supplied air or cartridge filter respirator throughout the application process depending on the type of product used. Survey the jobsite and take steps to prevent and protect the building and surroundings. Keep people a minimum of 50 feet away from the immediate area, especially those not wearing required PPE. Survey electrical and security wiring and secure them as necessary before beginning a job. Approach the prep work in a systematic way so that no areas are missed. Ensure that can foaming and caulking are completed as necessary around windows, doors, etc. Use good judgement and caution to not over-foam any areas. Review the work done to ensure that there will be no callbacks. Trim and bag “scrapped” foam materials as it accumulates. Maintain a high standard of clean-up before leaving any jobsite. Be sure that all necessary touch-up work and clean-up is completed before leaving the jobsite. Survey jobsite before leaving to ensure that all company tools and equipment are picked up,
returned to the truck and cleaned up for the next use. Understand the proper operating procedures of all equipment. Learn techniques from other team leaders. Work to develop good spray techniques to eliminate waste and overspray. Uphold and protect the high-quality standards of Ecological Insulation ensuring that all work performed meets or exceeds these standards. Responsible and accountable for working with team members. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of construction business and/or 1-year prior related experience helpful but not required. Valid driver licenses Must be able and willing to travel    Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely  Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to always demonstrate a respectful and professional demeanor. May be required to wear respirators with supplied air or cartridge filters. Must pass a pulmonary and respirator physical by an approved qualified physician. Good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to read, speak and write. Must follow safety procedures and use required safety equipment as instructed verbally and as outlined in the Ecological Insulation Safety manual.

 

Physical Demands:

 Constant (67-100%) standing and walking.  Frequent (34-66%), repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs over shoulder height.   Frequent (34-66%) moving of heavy equipment  Frequent (34-66%) bending, squatting and twisting.  Frequent (34-66%) climbing and the use of ladders and scaffolding.  Requires stamina to work extended hours.


Work Environment
While performing the essential functions of this position, the Installer will be subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including exposure to extreme cold, heat and humidity. Exposure to dusty, noisy jobsite conditions, fumes, insulation materials and some chemicals.
