Institutional Business Development
The Institutional Business Development Officer will report directly to the Trust Revenue Officer and has accountability for Business Development for Investment Management and Institutional Custody. Primary responsibilities include driving new business with prospective institutional clients across all channels, such as Corporate, Public, Endowments, Foundations and Taft-Hartley. The candidate will also have existing relationships with institutional investment consultants, and other service providers within the industry. The FVP, Institutional Business Development will be responsible for meeting revenue and profitability targets by on-boarding new client relationships across a diverse product set designed to meet the needs of our target market. Essential Job Functions: + Actively promote investment management and custody capabilities while achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability targets. + Drive organic growth of the bank’s portfolio of investment products and custody. + Maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and institutional consultants, + Collaborate with peers across the company by cross selling investment management and custody to existing banking relationships, with the ability to introduce commercial banking services to prospective customers. + Represent the firm at various industry conferences, and seminars. + Perform other duties as directed. + Travel of 30% - 40%+ of the time. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree; MBA or other equivalent preferred. + 8+ years of institutional investment management experience with a quantifiable track record of building relationships and selling institutional investment products to a broad set of clients across channels. + Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management. + Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. + Excellent presentation skills and selling techniques. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $130,000.00 – $140,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
