Institutional Housestaff Coordinator
Description

The Institutional Housestaff Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between housestaff, hospital administration, the School of Medicine, and external agencies. This role acts as both a resource and advocate for housestaff while also supporting staff, faculty, and program directors. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, drawing on experience and knowledge of the Medical Center and affiliated organizations. Additionally, the coordinator works closely with residency and fellowship program coordinators, overseeing HR functions related to housestaff.

Key responsibilities include collaboration with GME stakeholders, including housestaff, program coordinators and directors, occupational health, facilities, and affiliate institution leadership. The role is also responsible for developing onboarding processes and implementing the resident union collective bargaining agreement, particularly regarding relocation reimbursements. Additionally, the coordinator oversees the Intern & Resident hospital budget in partnership with HS Finance, ensuring financial alignment and operational efficiency. This is a rehire retiree recall limited appointment role at 43% FTE through 8/31/25. Salary Range: $68,800 – $141,000 Annually
