These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Instructional Course Designer for Strategic Services, a department within the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O) Reporting to the Director, myPath Training and Employee Development, this position is responsible for the design and development of creative, learner-centered, performance-based systems training programs, modules, and materials in multiple platforms including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive elearning, videos, webinars, database simulations, user manuals, job aides, facilitator guides, auxiliary practice, review, and resource materials.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Responsible for determining the course structure and levels, documenting, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling training requests within the divisional Learning Management System (LMS), and evaluating training assessments. Navigates within the LMS (Learning Management System) to become familiar with the training landscape. Designs and delivers systems training and employee development programs. Participates in routine needs assessments to identify systems training needs and programs that foster employee development. Needs assessments will include identifying learning objectives, delivery techniques, and interactive learning activities. Identifies and resolves gaps or improvements to curriculum design. Remains current on trends in learning technology.
