JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Summary/Objective:

Join ACA as an Instructional Designer and bring training to life! We're seeking a dynamic individual who excels at simplifying complex topics and possesses a genuine passion for creating captivating learning experiences. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain diverse training programs spanning eLearning, compliance, and instructor-led formats. Working closely with internal subject matter experts, you'll collaborate on crafting comprehensive curricula that address the educational requirements of all ACA associates. Additionally, you'll leverage our LMS system to build and administer curriculums as needed.

 

Essential Functions:

 

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain effective online and classroom training programs to fulfill departmental needs.Continuously enhance training curricula to adapt to evolving learner and market requirements.Assist in optimizing the Learning Management System (LMS) and implementing and refining supplementary systems as needed.Utilize professional eLearning and classroom authoring software to create and update training curricula, videos, modules, and supplementary learning materials.Act as a subject matter expert in designing and developing instructor-led training (virtual, in-person, and hybrid) and eLearning modules.Explore and leverage new and emerging technologies to enhance the organization's instructional design and delivery capabilities.Possess excellent communication, writing, and editing skills to facilitate knowledge transfer and skill development, including effectively explaining technical subjects to non-technical or novice audiences.Conduct training sessions as necessary.

Qualifications:

2+ years of instructional design experience, including the practical application of instructional design theory, authoring eLearning courses, and managing multiple projects, preferably within a business environment.2+ years of experience in developing eLearning modules using tools such as Articulate Storyline or equivalent.Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Multimedia Design, Training, Education, or a related disciplineFamiliarity with multimedia tools and technologies (e.g., video editing, graphic design).Excellent project management skills, including prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.Proficient user of the following products:Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook)Adobe Premier Pro or Camtasia StudioAdobe Captivate or Articulate StorylineExperience supporting and administrating Learning Management Systems

  

Preferred Experience/Skills:

Cornerstone on DemandVideo and audio recording and editingPowToon or similar animationAdobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Knowledge of the indirect auto finance industry or financial services is a plus

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.

 

Travel:

This position will require 5% travel to other offices as needed.
