Summary\r

The Instructional Designer is responsible for effective analysis, design, development and evaluation of training materials across the organization. Course development will include online e-learning, virtual classroom, and live instructor-led. May perform in-depth needs analysis to uncover learner and organizational needs, identify performance gaps and changes in work process, procedures and technologies. Utilizes training authoring and multimedia tools and software for assigned development projects. Keeps abreast of training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques

Duties and Responsibilities\rPerform in-depth needs analysis to uncover learner and organizational needs, identify performance gaps and changes in work processes, procedures and technologiesWork with subject matter experts to determine the best learning solution for the situationDesign and develop various types of learning programs and content (e-learning, classroom, webinars) using adult learning methodology.Act as project manager for implementation of learning solutionsCreate test questions, activities, and exercises to measure the trainee's learningManage and populate training course data in learning management systemYou Must Have\rUS citizenship in order to obtain US Dept. of Energy \"Q\" level security clearanceBachelor's degreeMinimum 3 years experience as an instructional designerMinimum 3 years experience and advanced proficiency using e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline and Adobe CaptivateWe Value\rBachelor's degree in instructional design, organizational development, education, communication or related field preferred3 years experience with learning management systems preferredPrefer 3 years experience using graphics programs to create supporting graphics, photos, screen captures to illustrate learning pointsExperience in conducting needs analysisDemonstrated ability to lead and manage instructional design projectsProficient use of Microsoft OfficeExperience in manufacturing or technical businessProject management experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills to interpret client needs and drive results Excellent organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAdditional InformationJOB ID: 856Remote Eligibility: RemoteTravel Required: 0-10%Hourly/Salary: SalaryRelocation Available: No
