The Instructional Designer develops content that creates a dynamic and engaging learning experience that supports the needs of the business. This position works with subject matter experts to understand needs and identify appropriate training method options. The Instructional Designer will support the creation of eLearning, classroom, and blended curriculums in a high-volume training department. The majority of work will be fully developing eLearning for multiple departments across the organization.
Instructional Designer
Responsibilities:
Consults with subject matter experts in various areas of the company to identify business and behavioral objectives through appropriate needs analysis and discovery Supports self-enabled business teams in training delivery where needed Creates learning and performance support materials using agile methodology including needs discovery, iteration, delivery, and measurement of training Incorporates ROI concepts into the analysis, design and development of learning and performance support needs Works with system developers to understand how a user should use a new system (or changes to an existing system) Creates learning and performance support resources using tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere (Creative Cloud) Designs performance support and learning materials, such as facilitator guides, job aids, information resources, video, presentations and eLearning based on end-learner needs Performs administrative duties, including, but not limited to: scheduling and tracking of instructor-led training, assigning training, reporting, and testing new content Responds to incidents, requests, and other basic troubleshooting Consults with business areas to design LMS solutions to meet business needs
