We are seeking a highly skilled, creative, and innovative Instructional designer to join our HR Learning & Development (L&D) team. The Instructional Designer plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivery of dynamic and impactful experiences across the organization. With expertise in managing the Learning Management System (LMS), content creation, storytelling, and reporting, this role is critical in fostering a culture of continuous learning and talent development. An ideal candidate will have a passion for innovative learning solutions, a deep understanding of adult learning principles, and the ability to translate complex information into engaging training that aligns with the brand voice.
Responsibilities:LMS Management & Administration:
Support the management of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring smooth functionality, user access, and content organization Regularly maintain course materials, update training resources, and troubleshoot any system issues for seamless learning experience. Leverage reporting analytics to track learner progress and course performance, ensuring that all employees have access to the right learning. Instructional Design & Content Development: Collaborate with HR and business stakeholders to identify training needs and design scalable, high-quality, modern, and innovative learning programs. Develop engaging learner-centric training materials such as eLearning, videos, guides, and interactive activities that cater to a variety of learning styles and preferences. Write agendas, outlines, presentations, scripts, storyboards, process-oriented documentation, and all other supporting materials Storytelling & Brand Voice: Develop and incorporate compelling narratives into training content to enhance engagement, retention, and application of knowledge. Ensure all learning materials reflect and reinforce the brand voice, values, and culture to create a cohesive and impactful learning journey. Training Delivery & Facilitation Support: Assist with delivery of instructor-led training (ILT) and virtual training sessions, providing support and materials to facilitators as needed. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Data & Reporting Ownership: Prepare, analyze, and present regular reports to stakeholder and senior leaders, highlighting trends, gaps, and the overall impact of learning initiatives. Project Management:· Utilize project management fundamentals to build detailed and attainable project plans that include tracking, milestones, deliverables, and communication/review cadences.
Qualifications 1-3 years' experience in formal writing or instructional design A passion for learning, teaching, and inspiring performance through creative solutions Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading Possess learning agility and ability to adapt in a fast paced and collaborative team environment Proficient in Instructional Design software (Articulate 360, Rise 360, etc.) Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites application skills Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project, or similar) Strong organizational skills, detail and process oriented; ability to handle multiple, complex projects and adapt quickly to business changes Demonstrates strong verbal communication skills including listening, probing for understanding and articulating ideas and messages in a clear and concise manner Travel requirements 10% Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Core Competencies: Lead with Curiosity & Humility Build High Performing Teams for Today & Tomorrow Influence & Inspire with Vision & Purpose Observe, Engage & Connect Strive to Achieve Operational Excellence Deliver Business Results Benefits:Bath & Body Works associates are the heart of our business.
