Instructional Designer Intern - Summer 2025

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills that lend themselves to a clear, concise, and conversational writing style and tone

1 year of instructional design experience

Beginner proficiency with authoring tools

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design or equivalent education or experience  

Demonstrated ability to evaluate the effectiveness of learning designs using an industry-standard model

Job Summary

An Instructional Designer uses learning and instructional theory to analyze learning needs and goals, create instructional content, develop a delivery system to meet those needs, and evaluate the effectiveness of trainings.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and deploy unique and engaging instructional design materials both collaboratively and independently e.g., ILTs, CBTs, job aids, one pagers, etc.

Effectively incorporate client feedback into materials

Build partnerships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to increase quality and effective collaboration throughout the instructional design lifecycle

Assess existing training programs and make recommendations to meet instructional design standards

Work with leadership, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to determine proper modalities and deployment strategy

Measure and communicate the success of trainings to evaluate learners' performance

Leverage data and curate content to support training requests and learning outcomes

Conduct and document needs assessment to identify root cause and training and non-training solutions
