What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for providing career technical training instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula. Provide students with basic direction, in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential functions:
Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction. Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and the effectiveness of service delivery to students. Prepare related reports. In coordination with work-based learning (WBL) staff, develop center, community, and at-home work-based training sites at the center; monitor and document student progress at work-based training sites monthly. Monitor labor market information; develop career transition and job placement plans; and assist with graduate placement in conjunction with the career transition readiness specialist.Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate with a Computer Science endorsement or five (5) years of experience working in a computer or data science field. Experience with youth, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required.
