Instructor in Translational Medicine and Human Genetics

The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of human genetics, developmental genetics, epigenetics, functional genomics, or computational genomics. Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.
Responsibilities may include designing and carrying out genetic experiments, as well as preparation of manuscripts and supervision of students.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to receive mentorship in grant writing and grant proposals suitable to early-stage academic investigators.
