Our Mathematics Department is seeking to expand its pool of part-time faculty to teach in-person Mathematics at the Florence Campus.
Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach, and have teaching styles that support student success. Instructors are responsible for following division and college procedures in support of teaching and learning. This is an application pool posting for 2024-2025, starting Fall term 2024. This position requires that an employee be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform computer work in the form of word processing, data entry, spreadsheet work, and web-based research for more than seven (7) hours a day. Work involves concentrated mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work safely. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: Teaching mathematics to general lower-division college populations. Common student learning difficulties, current advances in teaching methods in mathematics, and appropriate uses of technology in teaching.
