Position TypeFaculty Work Hours/Week Description of Work Unit The Legal Studies Interdisciplinary Minor in the College of Liberal Arts provides a broad-based academic foundation for students interested in legal or law-related fields. This minor is intended for students who plan to attend law school, as well as to those who are interested in a wide range of careers in which some grounding in legal studies is helpful, such as media, business, human resources, communications, government service, and others. Course to be taught will be Contemporary Legal Studies. Conditions of EmploymentPre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires) Required Job Qualifications + Juris Doctor (JD) degree + Demonstrated commitment to and evidence of excellence in teaching capability at the college level required. Preferred Job Qualifications + Experience teaching courses related to Legal Studies preferred. + Ability to advance Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through teaching and outreach.
