The OpportunityThe Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Intern role is part of our summer internship program within our Engineering & Development Services group for a qualified engineering students interested in gaining engineering experience on projects in one or more of the many sectors that Black & Veatch supports like power generation, renewables, water treatment, oil and gas, cyber and physical security.
Responsibilities Gain experience in a working environment through meaningful work assignments. Exposure to Black & Veatch company culture and have a opportunity to network with experienced engineering professionals and executives. Perform engineering related tasks, under close supervision, gaining familiarity with department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation of engineering deliverables such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), engineering schedules and specifications. Exposure to project scope, schedule, and budget. Opportunity to participate in internal project review and coordination meetings and assist in coordinating with the project team by sharing information and design decisions. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Engineering program.
