Are you a hands-on professional with an analytical mindset? And do you have the confidence and open mind to represent Air Products in the field? Air Products is looking for a skilled Instrument Field Technician to join our Maintenance team. As an Instrument Field Technician, it is your mission to recognize problems and solve them, based on your theoretical knowledge. This way you will contribute directly to our mission to be the safest company in the industry.
As an Instrument Field Technician, you will:
Support maintenance activities: Travel across the region (Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France) to perform planned and unplanned maintenance.
Ensure reliability: Maintain control and instrumentation systems to meet safety, reliability, and performance targets aligned with business needs.
Be hands-on: Participate in maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting of diverse instruments and systems.
Collaborate regionally: You are part of the Nothern Continent team, so you will work together with people from different regions in the central maintenance team, providing essential support to production facilities in your area.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
Technical background: You completed an education in a technical field
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with control and instrumentation systems; experience in the oil & gas industry is a plus but not required.
Communication Skills: Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken); additional European languages are a big advantage.
Willing to travel: In this role you will travel extensively across Europe (up to 80% of this position)
Interpersonal Skills: Confidence to present yourself as a specialist, with the authority to make decisions and collaborate effectively at different facilities.
Adaptability: You are open-minded and eager to learn about not only tools and systems but also about our company and new cultures.
