Our client provides civil engineering, land planning, surveying, urban design, and development consulting services to public and private organizations throughout the United States and abroad. They are currently hiring three Instrument Operators to join their team. Instrument Operators will be part of a two-person crew and will report to Reston every day before heading out to sites in DC/VA. The role involves following safety regulations, taking care of instruments daily, obtaining accurate field locations, correctly coding for 'field to finish' mapping products, construction stakeouts, and maintaining clear and concise field notes and daily records.

The work environment includes construction sites and all weather conditions. If the work is in DC, note that the workspace may be small with limited parking. The role involves a commercial renovation site with a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment in the field, while the office is generally quiet. The owners are actively involved in day-to-day operations.
The schedule consists of working four 10-hour days, providing a three-day weekend, with schedules either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday.
