Job Title: Instrument Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Instrument Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting field survey data for various types of surveys including boundary and topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, wetland and tree locations, construction layout, and similar fieldwork. This role is essential in ensuring accurate data collection and efficient survey operations.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a total station instrument and data collector.Operate a GPS rover.Operate a level and read a level rod.Complete basic field calculations.Cut and clear survey lines using hand tools.Maintain a clean work vehicle.Follow basic safety procedures.Take directions from Project Managers and coordinate work efficiently.Essential SkillsProficiency with total station instruments and data collectors.Experience with GPS rovers.Ability to operate a level and read a level rod.Capability to perform basic field calculations.Minimum of 6 months to 1+ year experience in field surveying.Strong work ethic and self-motivation.Ability to work in a timely and accurate manner.High individual moral and ethical character.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or G.E.D. required. Formal training in a surveying-related field is a plus.Ability to pass a drug test and background check.Clean driving record.Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC®) as required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act.Work Environment

The work environment involves outdoor fieldwork in various weather conditions. The successful candidate will work Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays involved, from 6:15 am to 4 pm, totaling 40-50 hours per week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00
