Job Title: Field Service Instrumentation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Instrumentation Technician to perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on extractive, dilution extractive, and in-situ air monitoring equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in troubleshooting analysis instrumentation and support equipment, as well as a commitment to improving the operation of monitoring systems and maintaining accurate records.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on extractive, dilution extractive, and in-situ air monitoring equipment and systems.Troubleshoot analysis instrumentation and support equipment, control, and metering problems, taking appropriate action to correct deficiencies.Improve the operation of monitoring systems, instruments, controls, and metering and electrical equipment installed at customer facilities.Maintain records of readings and test results for all assigned equipment.Maintain records and files of readings and data taken during preventive maintenance.Perform all work according to logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches, and other written instructions.Essential SkillsCalibration and electronic testing.Ability to calibrate, test, and troubleshoot using electrical (AC & DC) equipment and oscilloscopes.Familiarity with using various test equipment such as multi-meters, pitot tubes/manometers, and electronic test equipment.Experience reading electrical prints and operating manuals.Proficiency in using computers, specifically MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with subordinates, peers, managers, customers, and vendors.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work out of town and overnight on scheduled and unscheduled trips.Capability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and work in various weather conditions.Willingness to take rotating, on-call duties on nights, weekends, and holidays (maximum of one week per month).Possession of a valid driver's license insurable by the company's vehicle insurance carrier.Successful enrollment and compliance with DISA random drug and alcohol sampling program.Work Environment

This position requires travel up to 35%, more likely 20-25%, scheduled in advance. The company has a field services division with several projects for large refineries. Safety training requirements and drug testing are mandatory for some customers for engineers to go onsite. The role involves working in various environments, including heights and different weather condition

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
